The process of sending an ideal target profile (ITP) from our hub to a client. This is a crucial step in our workflow, and I’ll break down the process so it’s easy to follow.
Step 1: Search for the Company
The first thing you need to do is search for the company in our directory. For this example, I recently added a new company, CXC. It’s important to confirm that the company has at least one employee listed in the system. Without an employee, the ITP cannot be sent, as it requires a specific contact within the company. Also, ensure that the employee has a valid email address, as this is where the ITP link will be sent.
Step 2: Access the ITP Tab
Once you’ve verified that the company has an employee with an email address, navigate to the ITP tab in our system. This tab is where the actual process of sharing the ITP begins. You’ll see a button that resembles a share icon. When you click this button, the system will automatically populate the message with the necessary details, such as the company name.
Step 3: Select the Employee
Next, you’ll see a drop-down menu that lists all the employees associated with the company in our system. From this list, choose the employee to whom you want to send the ITP. Once you’ve selected the right person, simply click the “share” button.
Step 4: Confirmation of ITP Sent
After clicking “share,” a confirmation message will appear at the top of your screen, stating, “ITP shared successfully.” This message confirms that the link to the ITP has been sent to the client. The client will then receive an email with a link to complete their ideal target profile.
Step 5: Checking Completed ITPs
It’s a good idea to check if the client has completed their ITP before you meet with them. For example, I recently worked with a client named MSFT. The client informed me via email that they had filled out the form. I didn’t receive an automatic notification from the system, but when I checked their profile, I saw that the form was indeed complete.
Client’s Email Experience
If you’re curious about what the client sees, they’ll receive an email from a no-reply address with the subject line, “Fill your company ideal target profile.” The email will contain a link for them to fill out the form. When they click the link, it will open a page where they can easily input their information and submit the form.
Final Notes
Occasionally, you might run into a situation where a client reports that the link has expired. This can happen if too much time passes or if the email was part of a test, as was the case in one of my examples. However, under normal circumstances, the link should work fine, leading the client to the ITP form.
