Directory New Search Options or Directory Enhancement

The Directory New Search Options or Directory Enhancement course introduces the latest improvements made to Aladdin’s directory system, designed to make searching, managing, and presenting company and contact data faster and more efficient.

In Lesson 1: Enhanced Directory – Search by Number & Emails, participants learn how the directory now supports searching by phone numbers (mobile, landline, direct line, or custom numbers) and by email addresses. This applies across both the Meeting Hub and the Event Hub. The upgrade expands search functionality to include multiple fields such as first name, last name, job title, company details, products, categories, phone numbers, and emails. Additionally, users can now benefit from a full-text search, meaning a query can match data in company descriptions or contact biographies. To ensure security, search by numbers or emails can be restricted internally to prevent external misuse.

In Lesson 2: New Rich Text Editing Capabilities for Company Descriptions, participants explore improved ways to create professional company profiles. Instead of being limited to plain text, company, and contact descriptions now support rich-text formatting. Users can add multiple paragraphs, bold or italicized words, numbered or bulleted lists, and custom alignment. This ensures company profiles appear more polished and professional across directories, match lists, and meeting requests. While some restrictions remain (for example, embedding external links or excessive images), the new editor gives teams far greater flexibility in presenting company information.
