Custom Field Feature

The Custom Field Feature in Aladdin is a powerful tool that allows event organizers, admins, and managers to fully control and extend the company data model. Its primary purpose is twofold: managing the visibility of standard fields and enabling the creation of custom fields tailored to specific event or industry needs.

Standard fields, such as company size, funding stage, or headquarters location, can be toggled to show or hide across profiles, filters, shared lists, and registration forms. Event admins also have the ability to make certain fields visible only internally, keeping sensitive information like age or gender restricted to the admin team. This provides flexibility in ensuring only relevant data is presented to participants.

Beyond managing existing fields, Aladdin supports extending the data model by adding custom fields. These fields can take multiple formats, including text, number, radio button, checkbox, or date picker, allowing accurate data capture. For example, in real estate events, custom fields like project name, master project, or unit size can be created to accommodate industry-specific requirements.

Visibility and usability of fields are controlled through conditions: a field must contain data, be set as visible, and meet user access requirements. Additionally, priority settings determine the order in which fields appear in profiles or filters. Multi-level filter logic ensures users only see relevant data, improving clarity and usability.

The import process further enhances efficiency, allowing bulk addition of data aligned with both standard and custom fields. Import options—raw, published, or internal—ensure data is properly categorized. Access rights also play a vital role; while admins have full visibility and configuration power, organizers operate with restricted views, maintaining structured permissions.

In summary, the Custom Field Feature empowers teams to configure, filter, and manage company data dynamically, offering both precision and flexibility in event data management.
