The Copy Event Data feature is designed to simplify the process of replicating data between events without the need for manual CSV exports and imports. This tool allows organizers to copy contacts, companies, and their associated details from a source (such as the Meeting Hub or another event) into a target event (a new or existing one).

To begin, the user opens the target event where the data should be copied. From the companies’ directory, a new “Copy Data” action is available. Selecting this action displays two dropdowns: the target event and the source event. Once a source is selected, the system loads a preview of the source data, showing companies and users that belong to it. This enables organizers to review and filter before proceeding.

Filtering and selection options include choosing between internal vs. published records, applying status filters, and searching specific contacts or companies. Organizers can copy all data, a specific range of records, or only the items they manually select. Importantly, when copying a company, all its related contacts are also copied.

The system provides four policies for handling duplicate records:

  • Keep Original – retain existing data without changes.
  • Replace – overwrite existing records with new ones.
  • Merge – fill in missing fields from the source without overwriting existing details.
  • Override – overwrite existing fields and add missing ones.

Advanced options allow customization, such as selecting which fields (e.g., excluding “number of employees”) or filtering contacts by criteria (e.g., seniority). Users can also decide whether to include all categories/keywords or just standard ones.In short, this feature provides a streamlined, flexible, and controlled method for cloning data between events, ensuring organizers save time, avoid redundant manual tasks, and maintain consistency across multiple event setups.
