The discussion focuses on enhancing the user experience when selecting contacts from a shared list during event matchmaking. The previous setup allowed sharing contacts but lacked clarity on how users could choose which individuals to meet with. The proposal suggests adding functionality that will enable users to easily select contacts from the list of attendees (or employees attending the event), making the interaction more intuitive.
In the proposed design, users can select one or multiple contacts from a company’s list of attendees for the event. A prompt would appear, asking users to choose contacts they want to meet, which can include one or more individuals. If a company has multiple attendees, the user can choose from these options based on their preferences. This feature would be accompanied by text prompting the user to “select the contact you would like to meet with,” which enhances usability and helps users navigate the selection process more easily.
Additionally, a suggestion is made to improve the visibility of the switch between company profiles and contacts. Instead of just using an icon, it is recommended to add a clear text label, such as “Show Contacts” or “Show Company Profile,” to enhance clarity. This enhancement aims to streamline the process for users, making it more user-friendly and intuitive when selecting contacts to meet with during events.
